Wii B Chopin
Shopping Music With That Nintendo Flair!
Wii B Chopin is a short E.P. composed with the goal of replicating the musical style of Nintendo’s console background music (known as “BGM” for short) that was present in their seventh and eighth generation game consoles such as the Nintendo Wii, DSi, Wii U, and 3DS. The E.P. was originally just a set of individual tracks produced to help me with adapting to the Linux MultiMedia Studio (known more commonly as “LMMS”) digital audio workstation.

While there are many DAWs out there such as FL Studio, Ableton, GarageBand, Soundtrap, and Logic Pro, LMMS has been one of my go-to solutions along with Audacity followed by trackers such as Renoise and Furnace. The plan is to keep learning LMMS until I have the time and money to pick up Ableton or FL Studio full-time since the former I used while I was in university but never had the cash on hand for a personal license. You might notice that the third track in the E.P. is much more classical and dramatic which is why the album ended up with the name “Wii B Chopin” as a play on words of “We Be Shopping.” Perhaps a bit silly I must admit haha!
