Pokemon Party
Follow the journey through PokeOne's world as new challenges arise!
Summary
Pokemon Party is a playthrough marathon covering the fan MMO known as PokeOne that is home to an interconnected world featuring regions from across the franchise such as Kanto, Johto, and Unova. The marathon is composed of ten separate segments that document exploring the Kanto region and what new content has been added to it that cannot be found in other versions of it from official Pokemon titles. All of the components of this project can be viewed through the Pokemon Party YouTube Playlist where Arcmaevotix is home to the original versions and Nehrpsyznet is home to the remade versions.

Process
The production road map for Pokemon Party was fairly straightforward. The goal was to capture a complete journey through a segment of PokeOne in better quality and with better aesthetics. This lead to a comprehensive re-design of the Pokemon theme for Radiant Crate Digital Home (RCDH) which saw sharper graphics, more flexible information windows, and a change in the format of the project itself. No longer was the project just a video game longplay like in its previous iterations, but rather it was a broadcasted marathon with donations going towards organizations such as the Internet Archive and Pen America. While the initial plan was to include coverage of multiple regions, the proposal was scaled back to just the Kanto region for the sake of quality assurance and meeting the set deadlines. The revised RCDH theme now shows frequent party members, missions completed, and other valuable information that is stored in sub menus of the game.

Reflection
Pokemon Party was the last project to be re-developed for the Twin Exhibitions and serves as a culmination of everything that I have learned with broadcasting, layout design, aesthetic categories, and more. While the development of the project would seem less taxing than others since it is a video game marathon, it was actually quite a struggle since it required scheduling broadcasting times, re-cutting hours of footage to sync properly, cleaning up audio for releases, collaborating with other individuals, and plenty of other challenges. What might have been a one week project in an ideal setting with ideal variables ended up being a four month long project that saw different aspects evolve as it went along.
